A credential only means something if you know what it stands for. These are the 8 UK credentials that matter for Welsh trades, what each one proves, whether you need it, and how to confirm it yourself. We do not check them for you: our listing checks are Companies House and Google Business Profile.

Gas Safe Register

The Gas Safe Register is the official list of engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas appliances in the UK.

Electrical

NICEIC is one of the UK’s leading certification bodies for electrical contractors.

Part P is the section of the Building Regulations for England and Wales that covers electrical safety in the home.
