What is NFRC?
Recommended for roofersThe NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) is the UK’s largest roofing trade association. Members are vetted on quality, health and safety and financial standing, and the NFRC runs a competent-roofer scheme that can self-certify roofing work under Building Regulations.
Do you need it?
Not legally required, but a solid quality signal for a job where poor workmanship is expensive to put right. NFRC membership means the roofer has been independently vetted and may offer an insurance-backed guarantee.
How to check it
Search members at nfrc.co.uk and ask about the NFRC guarantee, which insures the work if the contractor ceases trading.
