What is TrustMark?
Government-endorsed quality markTrustMark is the government-endorsed quality scheme for work carried out in and around the home. TrustMark-registered businesses are vetted against technical standards, customer service and trading practices, and the scheme offers financial protection and dispute resolution.
Do you need it?
Not compulsory, but reassuring, and required for some government-funded schemes such as energy-efficiency grants. A TrustMark badge means the business has been independently assessed and monitored.
How to check it
Search the business at trustmark.org.uk. TrustMark also lists which government scheme funding a firm is registered to carry out, which matters if you’re using a grant.
